Dear Parents,

Below are updates for this week:
 I will still accept Six Flags reading logs. Please send them in next week if you’d like a ticket to Six Flags.

 In your child’s Friday Folder, you will find his or her ITBS/CoGAT results.

 If you have not signed up for a parent-teacher conference, please do so. The link is on the Burnette website and in the Burnette Blast. I look forward to meeting with each of you. 

* The spring carnival is coming up on Friday, March 6th. Our spring carnival basket still needs some goodies. Please send in anything related to WATER FUN to add to the basket by Monday, February 23rd. Thanks to those who have already sent in supplies for the basket.

Below are updates for this week:
  • Mid-term reports are included in today’s Friday folder. Please sign and return the slip attached.
  •   Six Flags reading logs are due this week (February 12). Please make sure to return the log to receive a free Six Flags ticket.
  • Don’t forget, parent-teacher conferences will be held Feb. 25-26.  The link to sign up will be sent out today! I look forward to meeting with you all during our February Conferences. 
  • Valentine’s Day is coming soon.  Students may bring in cards/small treats to share with the class on Friday, February 13. We have 25 students in our class, so please make sure to include everyone. 
  •  Spring Carnival Silent Auction – our class is collecting items for a “Water Fun” basket.  Please refer to a previous email from Mrs. Mehok for more information.

Parents,

Beginning Tuesday, Ms. Courtney Mieldezis will take over teaching Science, Social Studies, and Writing. If you have any questions about those subjects, please email her at courtney_mieldezis@gwinnett.k12.ga.us. I will still be your child’s homeroom teacher, and I will still teach reading and math, so feel free to continue emailing me with questions as well.

Don’t forget, there is no school Monday. We look forward to seeing your child bright and early Tuesday morning. We hope you have a wonderful, restful weekend!

Happy New Year!!! It has been great to be back with the students this week.  As you know, we have welcomed Ms. Courtney Mieldezis into our classroom.
