Dear Parents,

Below are updates for this week:

1. February bookmarks were sent home today in Friday Folders. Please encourage your child to read each night!
2. Six Flag reading logs were given to your child earlier this week. They are due February 12th. Six hours of reading is needed to obtain a free Six Flags ticket.
3. Don’t forget to mark your calendar for parent-teacher conferences which will be held Feb. 25-26.  The link to sign up will go out next Friday. I look forward to meeting with you all during our February Conferences.

Parents,

Beginning Tuesday, Ms. Courtney Mieldezis will take over teaching Science, Social Studies, and Writing. If you have any questions about those subjects, please email her at courtney_mieldezis@gwinnett.k12.ga.us. I will still be your child’s homeroom teacher, and I will still teach reading and math, so feel free to continue emailing me with questions as well.

Don’t forget, there is no school Monday. We look forward to seeing your child bright and early Tuesday morning. We hope you have a wonderful, restful weekend!

Happy New Year!!! It has been great to be back with the students this week.  As you know, we have welcomed Ms. Courtney Mieldezis into our classroom. She has been a great addition this week, and she will soon begin teaching your child science, social studies, and writing. Below are a few reminders about this week’s Friday Folder.

·       Reading bookmarks for January are included in each student’s folder.  
·       Report cards are included in each folder this week.  Please review grades with your child.  You may keep the report card; sign and return the report card envelope on Monday. 
·       Bingo/Pizza Night is coming up on January 23rd.  Included in the folder is an order form if you plan to attend.
